EUDR support for paper buyers

EUDR-Ready Paper Baking Produtos with Supply Chain Traceability

LANGMAI supports EU buyers of applicable paper products with structured sourcing, species, origin, geolocation and batch information. The objective is a reviewable chain from upstream paper records to the finished order.

What EUDR means

EUDR is due diligence, not a certificate

Produtos within the regulation's scope must be deforestation-free, produced in accordance with relevant legislation in the country of production, and covered by the required due-diligence documentation before they are placed on or exported from the EU market.

The EU operator or trader remains responsible for its legal assessment and submission. LANGMAI's role is to provide accurate supplier and production evidence that supports that review.

Buyer data pack

Information buyers can request for an applicable order

Availability is confirmed against the selected paper, supplier and production batch before an order claim is finalized.

Product identity

SKU, description, CN/HS code, fibre composition and order quantity.

Wood information

Common and scientific species name, subject to upstream paper data.

Origin

Country, production region, plot coordinates or GeoJSON where applicable.

Upstream evidence

Paper supplier, mill, grade, batch, production period and available declaration references.

LANGMAI lot link

Incoming paper batch connected to converting, packing and finished-product records.

Shipment record

Finished SKU, carton quantity, inspection record and commercial shipment reference.

Chain of evidence

From forest-source data to finished cartons

  1. Source:Forest plot, species, country, production region and harvest or production period.
  2. Material:Pulp and paper mill information, paper grade, supplier and incoming batch.
  3. Conversion:Printing, slitting, die-cutting, forming and packing under a LANGMAI production lot.
  4. Inspection:Approved specification, carton quantity and shipment inspection records.
  5. Handover:Finished SKU and shipment reference linked to the available upstream evidence.

Scientific verification

Genetic testing can strengthen evidence when technically suitable

LANGMAI can support optional laboratory-based wood species or origin verification, including genetic testing, where the sample contains usable biological material and the laboratory has a suitable species or geographic reference database.

Highly processed, bleached, coated or mixed-fibre paper may contain degraded DNA. Testing feasibility and the exact claim must therefore be confirmed by the laboratory before it is included in a buyer file.

What testing does not replace

  • Plot geolocation or GeoJSON
  • Supply-chain and batch records
  • Legality and no-deforestation evidence
  • Risk assessment and risk mitigation
  • The EU operator's due diligence statement

Buyer FAQ

EUDR traceability questions

Is EUDR a product certificate?

No. EUDR is an EU market-access and due-diligence regulation, not a product certification scheme. Certificates may support a buyer's review, but they do not replace the required sourcing information, risk assessment and due diligence statement.

Which LANGMAI products are covered by EUDR?

Coverage must be checked product by product using the material composition, CN or HS classification and the way the product is placed on the EU market. LANGMAI therefore provides traceability support for applicable paper products rather than making a blanket claim for every SKU.

What traceability information can LANGMAI support?

Depending on the paper supplier and order, the data pack can include paper grade and batch, species information, country and region of production, plot geolocation, upstream declarations, internal production lot, finished SKU and shipment references.

Does genetic testing prove EUDR compliance?

No. Genetic testing can provide supplementary evidence about wood species or origin when the sample and reference database are suitable. It does not replace geolocation, legality evidence, supply-chain records, risk assessment or the buyer's due diligence statement.

Can buyers request an EUDR data pack before ordering?

Yes. Send the product, material, destination market and expected quantity. LANGMAI can first confirm scope and then explain which traceability fields and supporting documents are available for that paper and order.
